Meet Patron: David Streames

David trained at The Guildhall School of Speech and Drama.
This year David played Comedy King in Jack And The Beanstalk in Croydon followed by Not A Game For Boys at the Gaiety Theatre Isle Of Man, Directed by Joanna Masters. David's latest musical was a five week run playing Daddy Warbucks in Annie at the Madanat theatre in Dubai, Directed by John Payton.
Other recent work includes Peter in Blue remembered Hills,  Jacob Marley in Christmas Carol at the New Vic Theatre, Funny Money at Vienna’s English Speaking Theatre and Out Of Order, Far East Tour; Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this David appeared in a four month run in the West End production of Rain Man directed by Terry Johnson and starring Josh Hartnett at The Apollo Theatre, London. He then went on to play Edward in the very successful production of Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me and the John Malkovich part in Burn This in which he won an award for Best Actor.
Other theatre credits include: The Leading role of Bill Snibson in Me and My Girl (Adelphi Theatre, West End). He also recreated the role of Bill in Cork, Dublin and Zimbabwe. David played Thenardier in Les Miserables (Palace Theatre, West End), Trevor in Dusty The Musical (No.1 UK Tour) directed by Bob Thompson, Joey in The Relationship (London’s Riverside Studios), Mr Beaver in The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Directed by Ian Brown. (RSC production, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds), Ben Silverman in The Sunshine Boys (Palace Theatre, Westcliff), Malcolm in Little Malcolm & His Struggle Against The Eunuchs (Boulevard Theatre, West End and also for BBC Radio 3) and Dennis in One for the Road (Oldham Coliseum).
Over the years David has appeared in many productions at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff: Twelve Angry Men, Dead Funny, Noises Off , Bedroom Farce, Coming Clean, Peter Pan and Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe to name but a few  plus numerous tours, Joe in The Daughter in Law (Not the National Theatre) Tommy in Killed (York Theatre Royal) and again Bedroom Farce (No1 UK)
David appeared last autumn in a new 8 part crime series called The Interceptor for BBC1. His other television credits include:- Mr Understood (Sky Drama), The Bill, Gentlemen’s Relish with Billy Connelly, Eastenders, London’s Burning, Grange Hill, News Revue, Flip, Comrade Dad and The Stronger.
Films includes, Meadow Lane, Eva’s Legacy, Harvey in the 1981 Oscar winning film Chariots of Fire, The Burden and the lead role in Driven
Radio includes: Little Malcolm for BBC Radio Three, New Routes for BBC Radio 4, Poetry readings for Women’s Hour, BBC Radio 4. David has also appeared in numerous TV commercials.
